She has been working at Tafe College since 1992. She graduated with a Diploma in Computer Science from ITM Shah Alam and started her career as a lecturer in Department of IT. Pursuing her studies, she obtained Bachelor of Information System from UWS Australia in 1995. In 2009, she graduated and been awarded with MBA from Open University Malaysia. Her career pathway from a lecturer continued to Principal Lecturer, Assistant Head of Department and currently she is serving as the Head of Information Technology Department. She has taught more than 2 thousands students from multi-racial and background both local and international students in certificate and diploma levels for the past 24 years of service in Tafe College. Courses that she has taught includes Engineering Computing, Computer Applications, Programming in C++, Relational Database Modeling and Design, Introduction to Database, Internet Programming, MIS, Data Communication, Project Management, Micro Computer Architecture and SAD.
Fully involved in the COPPA exercises, preparation and documentation for Diploma in Information Technology and Certificate in Computing intended for MQA submissions. Committed to the vision of Department of IT that is “To assist students to be innovative and train them to be leading technocrats to fit into jobs without the need for retraining”, she is drive herself towards the achievement and the betterment of the department as well as the college.

Ms. Rahayatul Shima Abdul Rahim is the Head of Department where she is also an active lecturer. She has taught Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Operations Management, Total Quality Management, Advanced Accounting 1, Advanced Accounting2, Intermediate Accounting 1, Intermediate Accounting 1, Credit & Risk Management, Accounting Theory & Practice, Principals of Marketing and Introduction to Strategic Management. She has been actively involved in COPPA documentation for Diploma in Accountancy and Diploma in Management.

Mr. Mariapan has obtained the Bachelor in Science (Mechanical) degree from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen U.K. He has thirty years teaching experience in a number of technical institutions and fifteen years industrial experience in many reputable organizations. He was lecturer, assistant program coordinator and currently holds the position of head of department. Being the head of department he also has vast experience in administration, managing students training and employment, setting up new curriculum and training centers. He teaches a variety of courses in automotive engineering program of the higher end.
